Yarn Type — Why Monofilament Matters
Not all artificial grass fibre is the same. We install monofilament yarn turf — individual, smooth blade fibres that catch light and move naturally underfoot, giving a softer feel and a more realistic look than older-style fibrillated (net-like) yarn. Monofilament is now the industry standard for realistic residential lawns, and it's what we use across our full range.

Pile Height, Density & Backing — What Actually Matters
Pile Height
The length of each grass blade, typically 25mm to 40mm for villa lawns. Longer pile heights (35–40mm) give a lusher, more realistic look; shorter pile (25–30mm) suits high-traffic areas and is easier to keep upright.
Grass Density
The number of turf tufts per square metre. Higher density turf looks fuller and more natural, wears better under foot traffic, and holds infill more effectively.
Backing & Drainage Holes
Every roll we install has a perforated backing with drainage holes, so rain and cleaning water pass straight through instead of pooling on the surface — essential for pet areas and Dubai's occasional heavy rainfall.

The Downsides of Artificial Grass — An Honest View
Artificial grass is the right choice for many Dubai villas, but not for every garden. Before you decide, these are the trade-offs we explain at every site visit:
- It gets warm in full afternoon sun — more than natural grass. Shade, a lighter-coloured grade and a quick rinse before play make a real difference.
- Higher upfront cost than a natural lawn — the saving comes later, in water, mowing and maintenance.
- The base decides the result — cheap rolls laid straight on uneven sand show every bump and can hold water. Proper levelling, compaction and a weed membrane matter more than the turf itself.
- It still needs light care — occasional brushing, rinsing and leaf removal keep the fibres upright and the lawn looking new.
If a cooler, living lawn matters more to you, compare our real grass (natural carpet rolls) — many clients use real grass for the main lawn and artificial grass for narrow strips and shaded corners.

How much will artificial grass cost for my garden?
Multiply your lawn area by the price per square metre. As a starting guide at AED 65 per sqm installed:

- Weed Membrane — laid to prevent weed growth beneath the turf long-term.

- Infill Application — silica sand or cooling infill brushed in to keep grass blades upright and reduce surface temperature.
